Worried your child's confidence is slipping in Maths?

This is a free confidence-boosting session for students who are capable but falling behind in maths. It’s part of the trusted Step Up Maths programme.

Students receive:

• A short online diagnostic to identify gaps (approx. 15 minutes, done independently)
   
• A 60-minute small-group session
   
• Personalised follow-up with recommendations
   
• Optional follow-up Q&A with the teacher (15–30 minutes)
   

This is a no-pressure, no-obligation offer to support families and give them a clear sense of how our intervention works — and whether it’s right for them.

The session is ideal for students in Years 6 to 9 who:

• Are at risk of falling behind
• Have lost confidence in maths
• Struggle with motivation or focus
• May have additional learning needs

My name is Christopher Currie. I’m a qualified teacher with a PGCE (Distinction) and several years’ experience in both mainstream and SEND schools. I currently work as a class teacher at Cricket Green School.

You’ll find my DBS certificate and a reference from my current headteacher at the bottom of this page, to give you complete peace of mind.

You are welcome to attend the session yourself, even as we ask you keep your camera off until the Q&A at the end, as the session is designed for children.

• Give families a no-risk way to experience how our Step Up Maths programme supports students
   

Families will not be pressured to enrol. If they find it helpful, they can explore next steps — but that’s entirely their choice.
